[R&E] Play for Thought: Bad Food vs Good Food

  • Mary L. Stephens Library 315 East 14th Street David, CA 95616 (map)

Play for Thought is a program made in collaboration with the Davis Community Libraries. This program consists of a series of events which aim to instill the idea of a healthy-lifestyle in elementary aged children through hands-on activities. There are two roles you may sign up for. Presenters will earn 1 R&E credit (6 hours of transcript notation) and are expected to present a PowerPoint on the general topic and activity. Regular volunteers will earn 0.5 R&E credits and are expected to assist in organizing the attendees and contribute to educating them on the topic of the day.

Bad Food vs Good Food: We will have a presentation on what constitutes bad food and what constitutes good food such as sugar vs vegetables. For the activity, the kids will be decorating cookies and we will bake them.
