Bones for Life - 3/10/17

Bones are important for holding us up, otherwise, we would be mushy! As we grow older, our bones can weaken which makes it easier for them to break. That’s why it is important for us make sure our bones are healthy for our entire lives. Today we learned about how to keep our bones nice and strong. We will also then make two calcium rich snacks: veggie wraps and yogurt parfaits!

Healthy Hands - 2/25/17

Washing your hands may seem insignificant, but in reality, it does so much in preventing us from getting sick. Today, we learned about the importance of washing your hands and made our own customized soap bars with toy fish inside!

HAPPY HEARTS - 2/24/17

The heart is one of our most important organs. It pumps blood throughout our entire body to keep it alive. As the heart takes care of the rest of us, we have to take care of our heart too! During today's session, we learned about what the heart looks like, how it works, and how to keep it healthy. We followed up this lesson by making our own heart models out of clay!
