Who do we work with and what do we do?

We continuously volunteer for AJD Angels of Hope at the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, they are a non-profit organization that provides assistance to underprivileged children and their families by sending care packages with non-perishable food items, clothes, toys, hygiene products, etc. They also provide a medical and dental free clinic, scholarships, and child sponsorships. AJD Angels of Hope

We volunteer with Davis Community Meals where we serve free food to underserved populations who are in need. We distribute fresh, warm food to many people across the city of Davis and Yolo County, allowing them to enjoy food they may not have access to.

We also volunteer with Challah for Hunger, where we bake bread and distribute them at local food banks to the underserved Davis communities.

In addition, we work with Food Recovery Network to collect produce donations from farmers and distribute them all over Yolo County to populations that do not have easy access to food.

We also volunteer and seek to volunteer at events on the UC Davis campus or within the local area. If you are seeking volunteers to help out at an event, please contact publicrelations@vncares.org!
